If you’re looking for the absolute perfect way to treat your mom right this Mother’s Day, you’ve found it. The beauty of this class is that you can make the meal while Mom watches or get her in on the joy if she wants to roll her sleeves up. During class, we will go over how to make 3 different pasta colors- yellow, pink and green. We will weave those colors into the following crowd-favorite pasta shapes: tagliatelle, agnolotti, caramelle and farfalle. There are two filling choices for class, one is minty pea puree (can easily be vegan) and one is classic ricotta cheese. Creating these colors and shapes is truly an experience the whole family can enjoy, and the shaping of the pasta itself is so much fun for kids and the many of us who are kids-at-heart.
The pasta is vegetarian and while I give recipe suggestions, the sauce is up to you. Everything can be made vegan with the substitutions noted in the recipe. This class is suitable for all ages, although young children will need adult supervision. If you have previously attended one of my gluten-free pasta workshops and you’re wondering if you can make these colors and shapes gluten-free, you may! If you haven’t attended the previous GF workshop, it might be a bit tricky to tackle, but email me if you’d like to discuss firstname.lastname@example.org.
